Étude Classique Ltd. is a wholly New Zealand owned and staffed
operation, and from its offices and workrooms in Auckland is able
to service the requirements for regalia for the academic and legal
professions throughout New Zealand, and also supplies an
increasing export market.
The business was established in 1988 with the intention of providing a local supplier of academic dress to the universities and colleges of Auckland, and also to the organisations who cater for hiring of graduation regalia to their students.
The goal was to provide them with a level of service and a quality of product which would make it unnecessary for them to obtain their requirements from further afield, especially overseas.
Since then we have broadened our field to include other academic institutions and orgnisations, constantly improving our quality standards to the extent that we are now able to offer products and services equal to the finest robemakers in the world, and at much more favourable prices.
We take great care to maintain close relations with NZ universities and their associated academic dress organisations, to make sure we stock their approved designs and colours, to design new items when required, and generally to provide for their needs.
We have been appointed The Official Robemakers for several universities and tertiary academic bodies in New Zealand, including Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and Unitec.
